The first thing I've learned is that the iPad camera is nothing like the iPhone's one. 2 games worth of burry photos incoming.

Setup - Basic plan was for Pikemen and Devastator to defend my zone, Windowmakers and Winterguard to push for left hand zone. Kayazy spread across the back in the hope of finding a target with the mini-feat. Trolls to move first.

End of 1 - push push, not a of combat (yet).

End of 2 - now there's been combat. I lost some Kayazy to AOE. On my turn I feated, possibly too early, and tried to wipe out the left flank. I really wanted to get off the feat before I was too far on the back foot. Went OK, a couple more tough rolls than I'd like, but still did a fair bit of damage - the left was looking good. I didn't really get anything done on the right flank, but mini-feated back to shield wall. At this stage I was feeling OK, as what I'd intended to happen had actually (near-enough) happened.

Now things have gone south. The 2 remaining Long Riders made mince-meat of the Winterguard by pushing Trollkins through them. On the other side, my armor 25 Devastor was toast, crushed in one round my Mulg. Yep, I'd better watch out for that guy. Kayazy have plonked around and not found anything to charge.
I tried moving Butcher out to the left flank, hoping he could clean that up wile the Pikemen held on in the right. Turned out the Trollkin are pretty heavy hitters, and made short work of Butch.

I enjoyed the game - tried to get on the front foot, and felt like I nearly pulled it off. Was still crushed, obviously, but felt like a good crushing.

I still haven't found out how to make the most of the Kayazy. Need to keep plugging away with them. The Devastor's armor 25 clear doesn't make him as invincible as I thought. 1 turn!

  1. You didn't get crushed. You just exposed Butcher to buffed up weapon master charges. That doesn't end well for anyone. If that hadn't of happened, it would have been an uphill fight for me.

    Good game!
